i have a 2005 hd road glide that i need to replace the handle bars raising and bringing them back towards my body. i have short arms and the standard bars are not as comfortable for me i would like. how much higher can i go without having to replace the cables? if anyone has any experience with this on this hd model i would like your input.

I also have a Road Glide I'd like to change the bars on. 2010...actually make them further away...I'm thinking maybe 2" up would work without changing cables. G/friend has 09 Streeglide & I just pulled her bars back for her....worked gr8....she can now reach on turns.

i recently handlebars installed om my 2013 road glide and they are fantastic. they are heritage/road glide bars. they are in the catalog as such. they dont require any wiring or cabling extra even though they say you have to. happy motoring!!!!!!
