I just purchased an 09 FLHX from a friend. I don't know to much about these engines and want to get the best bang for my buck. I plan on doing alot of distance runs with it this season. Here's what he did to the bike while he owned it; Bub stealth 7 slip-ons,XIED fuel management set-up (http://sales.nightrider.com/) and stock air cleaner.
Lookin to keep this bike set-up but want to know whats out there.

Hi, If i were you the first thing i would do is change that stock Air Cleaner. Get one that you like! As long as it has a reuseable element like K+N or one of the other manufactures makes. I dont know anything about the XIED fuel management system, You will have to reprogram it or it will do it its own, With new A/C Read the directions or have your local dealer do the install. Some new Cams would be good too, Andrews has come out with a couple new grinds for cruisers.
