Hello! I'm a newbie and am having an issue with my bike. It appears that my brand new bike drops a puddle of something that appears to be oil on my garage floor out of the overflow tube after a ride of a few as 50 some miles if the temp is above 80 degrees. It doesn't do this if the temp is below 80 or I ride for an hour or less. Is this normal? The dealer is trying to tell me this is typical. The tech is confused and can't tell me why it is doing this - can't replicate the issue and when I take a sample of what comes out, in to them, they still tell me I am basically nuts. The bike has less than 1000 miles on it. Most of those miles are in an attempt to trouble shoot this issue! Thanks for your help with this

If you are saying that this fluid is coming from a crank case breather, then I would suspect it to be oil. Higher temps. make metal, oil and most any molecular substance expand. This may be the reason you see it on hotter day and longer rides. I would stand the bike up as perfectly vertical as possible using a stand or a suitably sized block of wood under the kickstand(just be careful that the bike doesn't fall over). Check the oil level. It may be overfilled, causing it to come out of the breather once the engine heats up. I hope this is helpful. If it isn't, you need to insist that the dealer finds the problem and fixes it.
