i'm looking at purchasing a used bagger. i've recently looked at a 2007 street glide with 6800 miles on it. it has a 23" front rim and 7 degree rake but other than that is mostly stock with a 110 rev tech and 6 speed trans. he wants 17K. the other bike i'm looking at is a 2000 electra glide classic with 8000 miles. it is in a 1985 frame so the numbers don't match but it is only $8k which leaves me plenty of room for customizing the entire bike. but it has the 88ci engine and 5 speed trans. so do i want the newer bike with newer trans and engine but very little customization or the older bike with the smaller engine but one i would have money to completely customize? any feedback is appreciated.

i'm just looking for some positive and negatives from people with bikes similar, anyone have a 88ci and five speed and wish they had gone with a bigger motor even if it meant sacrificing custom pieces? or anyone with one and thinks its all they need?
