Have two disk in back on ruputred and looking to soften ride of road glide.  Stock shocks seem stiff and have little travel~, 440s at 13.5" have 4.125" total travel should have more than stock shock.

Check out Tricky Air Shocks. They make shocks for all HD bikes. I put one of their units on my Road Star and the ride is very comfortable, even over freeze expansion bumps. You can adjust the air for the best ride when you are alone and bump it up when you go 2 up with just a flick of the switch.
