I have a 2005 Road King and have been kicking around the idea of handle bar mounted speakers and initially driving it with my IPod. I have been eye balling the Cycle Sounds 3" low profile speakers with amp and IPod mount and the Kuryakin 3" speakers. Looking for some feedback/ advise. There are alot out there.

Don't waste your money even the 5 1/4 in. speakers on my FLHX are almost useless above 50mph. Use your IPod with a good set of ear phones and you listening quality will be way better.

I have the 09 FLHX with the Hawg WiredDCS/SX System. Really good sound for the bike. I use my Zumo 450 as my MP3 Device. I can easily hear with my full face helmet on.
I would recommend this to anyone who has an Electra Glide and wants to kick up their stereo.
Your friend riding beside you can hear the tunes wile cruising. My buddy had a Softtail Deuce with a 110, and Vance & Hines pipes. He could hear the tunes very well while cruising down town.

do you think its worth buying the headphones designed for specifically motorcycles? They claim to eliminate all sound...Or will a regular set of ipod phones work fine?
