I ride a 1998 FLHR EVO which was pretty much stock when I got and I have added a significant amount of chrome to dress it up some. Working on gettting som apes installed soon (if anyone has any recommendation on this I would love to hear them)and some rhinehart pipes as well as continuing to add more dress-up chrome addons. Can you ever have enough chrome? I cant!!!!

Hey BigDaddy64. I got an 07 FLHTC without a tour pak and wanted to find one for the occasional trip when I would need a backrest and a place to stow the helmet and stuff. Considered HD parts catalog color shop but quite frankly, I can buy a fully-loaded side-by-side refrigerator and some food and drinks to go in it for less money. So I went to the internet. On ebay there is a couple of guys that sell aftermarket clones of the chopped tourpak for in the 200-300 range but they have to be painted and hardware isn't always included. I've seen one up close and they aren't all that high-quality. One of them might be OK if you want to do some work to it on your own once acquiring it. I checked with HD and full hardware (hinges, latch, lock, and cable) was around 150-200 at the time. There's a guy on ebay also who sells a very nice hinge set for HD or these aftermarket units. Those hinges are beautiful but they cost about twice what they are worth. The guy's business is TWR. So I went to the used market on ebay. I finally found a perfect, unused, full-size king tourpak in the same color as my FLHTC for 450. It had a permanent bracket for the two-up position but no quick release mount of any kind. Also had no top rack which was OK with me as I didn't want one. So, one more guy on ebay sells aftermarket clones of the harley quickly detachable brackets. I got the solo version for 82 bucks. Now it is down to HD parts guys for the pieces that have to be mounted to attach the quick-release bracket to. Hope that helped. These things cost too much but that seems to be the market for used HD parts.

I got an 09 street glide a month ago. Standard EL wind shield, matching fairimg lowers, sundowner deep bucket seat, hogtunes speaker upgrade with HF-1 tweeter bar and VH monster ovals with high flow breather and race tuner. Best bike I have ever owned. It handles so well on the hill country twisties in central Texas that I would dive into 20mph curves 40mph and never once thought I was riding beyond this baggers limits. Lower center of gravity really good throttle and stop me now brakes made me turn around and ride the same rode the opposite direction. You know sometimes when it feels that good some people think you might be special because you just cant quit smiling.

Hey Jeff just got the new issue at walmart. Really liked the revue of the 09 street glide. I just bought mine in march. I really liked my heritage but at 53 decided it was time for more comfort. I got what extras that fit me but still allows me to ride for fun. When I went to the dealer to get the bike it was still between the ultra and the street. After 2 hrs of walking back and forth sitting on both I told the salesman I can make the street a ultra lite. Have not regreted my choice one bit. Cant wait to see what trickery yall do to yours. For anyone that reads this if you are thinking of a new bike ( even in this economy ) Harley has finally got a whole lot right with the bagger line. I know you want pictures but like I said Im 53 so when my 11 yr old grandson gets a chance he can post them for me.

Hey Jeff and Toph, props on the new site--i'm excited to dig in. here's my ride:

(above, pictured in front of an abandoned "fun park" along old U.S. 12--the first highway to connect Chicago to Detroit. Below, pictured just north of the Blue Water Bridge in Pt. Huron, Michigan.)

"Black Betty" here is an 05' retired cop scoot that my dad and I picked up in the winter of 08'. We wasted no time stripping her of all the police garbage, swapping out the front fender for a Road Glide fender, and powder coating the forks. Although all the black makes her look lean & mean, the sundowner seat and heritage bars give way to the cushy comfort that only a bagger can provide.
Just this past winter my Dad and I got to beefing up her power factory, boring out the stock 88 cubic inch motor to a 96, adding all new cams/pistons/rings, and letting her sing through some Reinhart true dual exhausts.
This particular King is a blast to ride around town, or around the country. She's not quite my grampa's full on dresser, but not exactly my younger brother's hocked up bobber. And for that reason, at 22, I feel right at home ridin' my "Black Betty" anywhere I damn well please.

2009 Street glide, Vivid Black Custom chrome slip on's Corsair high flow SE race tuner Alum. spoke wheels Passanger floor boards Kuryakin highway z arms Mustang seat on order
Due to the weather in MN I have only been able to run 700 miles on it so far. I am so glade I waited till 09. The changes are so well worth it. First bike with tunes, The six speed is perfect on the highway and the fat back tire fits the fender like a glove. The 4" windsheld took some getting used to. ( 2004 heritage previous bike) It's a sharp bike but my son's 09 nightster gets more looks when we stop for gas.
